Buffalo Public Schools Board of Education Transportation Pass Program

Most parochial, private, alternative and Charter Schools will open on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.  Buffalo Schools will open on Thursday, September 6, 2018.   Transportation Passes for the 2018-2019 school term will be issued to students on the first day of school, however, students are permitted to ride Metro buses/trains when traveling to and from school without payment of fare or display of transportation passes during their first partial week of September 6 and through September 12.

Transportation Passes will be honored from Monday through Friday on any regular school day until and including Wednesday, June 26, 2019, or as otherwise indicated.  They will not be honored on certain holidays and notices will be posted on station bulletin boards notifying Operators and Fare Inspectors of such holidays.

Operators and Fare Inspectors are requested to use good judgment and courtesy in answering questions, which arise in the use of these passes.  Students should be reminded that the conditions regarding use of the pass are printed on the back of the pass.  At no time should ejection of a student put that student in peril.
